White-tailed Ptarmigan on the side of Slate Peak

This is the mom. Notice the cryptic coloring on her back and how it mimics the licens on the rocks around her. In the winter she will be pure white to blend in with the snow.

Some Wildlife I have seen in the last week

A cricket, perhaps a Mormon Cricket or something closely related. These were at Chelan Ridge
